Job Description Print friendly version of job 
  • Must have Project Engineering skills and experience
  • Responsible for the successful deployment of engineering and construction for all projects assigned.  Average list is 25-30 projects.
  • TIC on most projects will be between $5,000 and $500,000.
  • Responsible for leadership of project implementation and attainment of scope, cost and schedule milestones consistent with agreed upon business premises, execution strategies, and technical assurance requirements that delivers industry-leading results.
  • Serve as support and contribute to Process Safety initiatives as they pertain to capital investment.
  • Proposal development including development of engineering scope of work, budget and schedule.
  • Planning and scheduling of resource requirements for projects
  • Coordination of design issues with project team and resolution facilitation of inter-discipline problems
  • Provide support to lead discipline engineers and other team members so they can perform their jobs efficiently
  • Management of engineering budget and assurance of profitability

Location Notes:Job site located in Industrial Chemical Plant in Gesimar, LA, about 25 miles from Baton Rouge.
Job Requirements
  • Must have strong project engineering skills and experience
  • Industrial plant experience
  • Field Instrumentation knowledge
  • Must work well with teams and be capable of building teams with each new project
  • Must have strong written and oral communcation skills
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, especially conflict resolution and relationship building.
  • Strong working knowledge of revamp type projects and integration of associated construction activities with the site's ongoing work (turnarounds, maintenance, day-to-day operations, etc.)
Education Requirements
  • BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering
  • Strong Chemical Industry Field Instrumentation knowledge
  • Knowedge and use of Distributed Control Systems - Hardware/Software
  • 3+ years in project related experience in a Project Engineering capacity
  • 5-30 years engineering experience
